This exceptional piece is named for the Sierra Morena mountain range in the Andalusia region of Spain from whence the rare gem, andalusite, featured in this necklace, was thought to have been discovered. Andalusite is generally a warm, medium brown in color but look into its depths and you’ll find flashes of gold, red, pink and green. Here it flanks an equally interesting moss aquamarine with the same rusty red inclusions. Each gem is wrapped in 12k gold fill and dangles from an antiqued, bar-and-link, sterling silver chain. An additional andalusite teardrop is featured at the back of the piece on the extender chain.
